A fragment of the hormone that tells the body to release growth hormone. It was sold in the US as Geref, which has since been withdrawn.

Conflicting results. One small study of 19 people aged 55 to 71, without random groups: everyone got placebo first, then the drug. Body mass without fat rose in men but not in women. No study tested people who train.
What doctors, patients and companies reported to the US medicines agency (FDA), and single cases described in medical journals. A report says what happened to someone after taking the substance. It does not prove the substance caused it, and it does not say how often it happens. Reports do not change any grade.
